License Agreement
This agreement is between you and Priyam Ventures ("we", "us") for the TypeVoice application as we distribute it (the "App"). By installing or using the App you agree to it. The Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy form part of it.
1. What you get
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on Macs that you own or control. During the seven-day trial that license is free and complete. After the trial, continued dictation requires a license key bought once through Dodo Payments; a personal key may be activated on up to 2 Macs at a time that you personally use; a team key on up to two Macs per person for the number of people it was bought for. You can move a seat between Macs by deactivating one in the App's License tab. A personal key is for one person.
2. What stays ours
The App, its code, the TypeVoice name and the icon are ours. Your license lets you use the App; it does not transfer any of that. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the App except where the law expressly allows it.
3. What you may not do
Share, sell or publish a license key; circumvent the license check; or use the App to break the law or to record people without the consent your jurisdiction requires.
4. Updates and support
Updates are delivered by the App itself from our website and are included with your purchase for as long as we publish them for the version you bought; we currently intend that to be all updates to version 1.x at least. Support is available at the support page and by email. Apple and Dodo Payments provide no support for the App.
5. Refunds
Full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked: email support. Dodo Payments issues the refund and the key is revoked. Statutory rights that give you more remain unaffected.
6. Third-party software
The App includes open-source software: the FluidAudio framework (Apache License 2.0), NVIDIA's Parakeet speech model (CC-BY-4.0), NVIDIA NeMo text processing (Apache License 2.0) and the Sparkle updater (MIT License). Their notices are included in the app and the repository.
7. Warranty and liability
The App is provided "as is". Speech recognition is very good and not perfect; read what was typed before you send it. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
8. Term
This agreement lasts as long as you use the App. It ends automatically if you break it; on termination, stop using the App and delete your copies. A refunded purchase ends the paid license but not the free trial terms.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of , except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies and cannot be waived.
